Bangkok, Thailand – Demonstrating its commitment to fostering technological innovation and startup growth, the DOST ISU Smart City Technology Business Incubator (DISC-TBI) made its mark at the highly anticipated 2023 Techsauce Global Summit, hosted at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 16 to 17.

The Techsauce Global Summit has solidified its position as Asia’s premier tech conference, drawing tech enthusiasts and experts from across the globe. Techsauce, renowned as a catalyst for technology ecosystems, was founded by collaborative networks of tech startup leaders hailing from diverse corners of the world.

During the event, the DISC-TBI team actively participated in a series of workshops and panel discussions that encompassed a wide range of topics. These included “Shaping the Future through Design and Innovation,” “Securing Your Digital Journey with a Risk-based Approach,” “Challenges and Opportunities in HealthTech of the Future,” “Measuring Innovation Maturity,” “Strategies for Zero Risk Startups,” “Adaptive Leadership in Agile Transformation Journeys,” “Startup Ecosystem Fight Club,” and “Step-by-Step Guide to Startup Fundraising.”

These informative sessions played a pivotal role in enriching DISC-TBI’s programs for its startups and the broader community. Furthermore, DISC-TBI’s incubatees had the opportunity to acquire invaluable tools, strategies, and best practices to empower them as they embark on and expedite their fundraising endeavors.

DISC-TBI seized this opportunity to showcase its commitment to innovation and growth. Leading the representation was its core team, including Dr. Betchie Aguinaldo, DISC-TBI Project Leader; Mr. Ronald Isidro, TBI Technopreneur Focal Person; Dr. Regine Manzanillo, TBI Training Director; Mr. Jesus Lindo, TBI Assistant Manager; and Mr. Heherson Valdez, TBI Information Officer. Accompanying them were two of DISC-TBI’s promising incubatees, Praimr and Aqua Smart Feeder. The team received valuable support from Ms. Raquel Santos, the Focal Person of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 2.
