October 14, 2022 marked the 5th day of the 12-day journey, which started on October 10 in Data Mining (Phython), Geospatial Analysis, and 3D Modeling (Unreal Engine) currently taking place at the Business Process Outsourcing Simulation Center, Isabela State University-Cauayan City Campus in order to provide tools and methods effective for developing a DIGITAL TWIN as well as to enable participants to learn about and appreciate its concepts.
Through the grant of DOST Researchers on Industry, Energy Emerging Technologies – Opening Opportunities for Learning (RIEETOOL) program, the Business Intelligence Research and Development Center (BIRD-C) led by Dr. Betchie Aguinaldo and DOST R2 Smart City Focal Person, Ms. Raquel Santos collaborate with United Cities Digital Twin Experts, Ms Seok Mei Goh and Mr. Stephan Fernandez to attain the goal of bringing partners and stakeholders in the region by introducing new knowledge tools and technologies that will provide opportunities in the development of smart technologies.
Participated by representatives from the University of Saint Louis (SLU), Saint Paul University of the Philippines- Tuguegarao City (SPUP) Batanes State College (BSC), Saint Mary Universit (SMU), Quirino State University (QSU), DRRM of LGU Cauayan City, and MPDC of LGU Santiago City. The BIRD-C programmers and CCSICT OJT spearheaded by its Director and Dean Dr. Betchie Aguinaldo, facilitated the said course.
DOST Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) team, headed by Ms. Glenda Dorcas T. Sacbibit, also attended the opening of the onsite session last October 11. Ms. Sacbibit expressed her gratitude to the BIRD-C at ISU for organizing this activity and the opportunities it will provide for the participants.
At the end of this course, the training participants are expected to take part in the development of Digital Twin Training for Civic Innovation Twin Technology (CITTE) using ODeSSEE as foundation platform which will be called as ODeCITTE and each institution is required to present their ideation at the course’s conclusion based on what they have learned.
